Happy Trails To You: Roy Rogers Is Dead

The Immortal Part [Will Not Pass Away]:

Against the milky screen of the country movie house,
The great horse Trigger races through the moonlit country,
Bent forward, a Greek god, intent on catching the fleeing rustlers,
And Roy, hat secure on his improbable head,
Leaps from Trigger's saddle to tackle a doomed bandit.
The fist fight, then Roy, victorious,
Delivers the villains to the sheriff's posse.

The Mortal Part [Will Pass Away]:

Roy slaps his chaps hard to chase the dust and
Walks to the set chuck wagon for a coffee.
He smiles at the young person serving him,
Flashing the improbable Chinese look.
